Strawberries

I love strawberries! But then again, who doesn’t? The tart sweetness is just so delish! Of course the fact they are always used in romantic dinners and desserts, just makes strawberries all the more tempting.

1 cup of strawberries per person (well, this person at least) is more than enough for any recipe and the 1 cup contains only 49 calories. That is really a bonus on it’s own. I can easily eat strawberries as a dessert and feel all sexy too!!

The benefits and nutrients are amazing. It’s got

  1. fiber to help with gut issues
  2. Vitamins A and C in very high amounts which are excellent anti-inflammatories
  3. minerals such as potassium and folate.
  4. the ever so appreciated magnesium
  5. Vitamin K
  6. and manganese which regulates the function of the brain and proper functioning of the nervous system
  7. flavonoids which improve cognitive behaviour
